Description
This painting was inspired by the discussions of systemic racism and white privilege that took place during the Black Lives Matter marches and George Floyd protests of 2020. I've never been afraid for my life during a routine traffic stop, but those discussions introduced me to the fact that what I call 'routine' is literally a matter of life and death for black people in America.
